First Day in Delhi
If you are traveling to Delhi, make sure to see that you book your flight or train ticket to reach during noon. We had our flight in the morning and reached Delhi at 12 noon. After refreshment, we headed towards Sarojani Nagar popularly known as the Sarojani market.
If you are a shopping lover then this is the place for you. You will get everything at the cheapest rate you have ever imagined. We were in Delhi in the month of October so we could see the dresses for the summer as well as for the winter.
We were overjoyed to see so many beautiful things at such a cheap rate. This trip to Sarojani Nagar was the most exciting trip ever. It was my second visit but the experience was as if I was visiting for the first time.
If you visit Sarojini market, here are some things to remember:
- Decide your budget for the shopping
- Bargain and don’t accept the first price.
- Grab the dress: have experienced this bitter experience. With just 50 Indian Rupees I left the dress and I could not find the same dress after searching and I forgot where the shop was located.
After our shopping, we then went to have dinner in a restaurant at Hauz Khas
And on the second day, here are all the places we visited.

So make clear to your driver or the tour operator about the place.
My Personal experience of our Delhi tour
Delhi was our main door to open for our trip to Amritsar Golden temple, Chandigarh and Jaipur. We did not want to miss the opportunity to explore the capital of the country.
It was an awesome two days trip where we covered almost all the important places of Delhi including our shopping at Sarojini Nagar.
I would like to share my experiences that do not try hand traveling in the metro. The metro in Delhi is huge and it is very complicated to understand on the first visit. This only results in a waste of time.
If you are accompanying your friend or relative who already knows the route of the metro, then you are lucky enough to experience your trip. In this case, do not miss the opportunity.
Wish you the best and safe trip.
