Manifestation is real, but how good you are at manifesting depends on what good habits you engage in.
When people first learn about manifestation and the law of attraction, they think that manifestation is simply to sit down and visualise and think that that’s all there is to do.
But to be able to manifest is much more than that. To manifest you need to do the work- and more specifically a lot of Inner work.
First of all, you need to cultivate good habits in your life to shake off everything that is holding you back from your goals.
Without engaging in good habits, you will never be able to manifest what you want. As Rhonda Byrne says, you need to make ‘The secret’ into a way of life.
So, here are 10 good habits you must cultivate to help you manifest your goals

1. Spend the first hours after waking wisely
What do you do after waking up in the morning? How do you feel after waking up?
If you’re straightway switching on your phone and scrolling through Facebook or Instagram, or you’re waking up feeling cranky and burdened with another day of obligations and responsibilities, then you should immediately stop that.
The first hour after waking up sets the tone for the rest of the day. Spend it wisely. Spend it with awareness. Spend it on yourself.
For me, I have my morning routine where I read, write, exercise, pray and meditate. It helps me be aligned and positive.

Even if you have less time in the morning, even 5 minutes of meditation or simply sipping tea in awareness and gratitude will go a long way.
It’s all about enjoying the first hours after waking up and being in harmony with yourself.
2. Practice gratitude
If there is one good habit that will help you align with your goals and help you manifest, then it is practising gratitude.
Again, practising gratitude is much more than simply writing down what you’re grateful for. Of course, it is a powerful practice to write down your gratitude list (when you write it down with full feelings), but gratitude can also be a way of life.
Practice gratitude anywhere and everywhere. Bringing awareness helps in bringing gracefulness.
If we’re not aware of what we’re eating, where we’re walking, what we’re doing, and who we’re with, then how will we be grateful?
Learning to pause, slow down and reflect must be a way of life to make gratitude into a way of life.
3. Meditate
Why is meditation an important habit to manifest our goals? Because meditation helps us be centred and come back to ourselves.
Meditation is an important habit because it helps us keep a high life state and take care of our energy and well-being.
And we can only start manifesting when our life energy is high and positive. Meditation helps us do that.
4. Affirm the positive
Start affirming what you want and who you want to be in your life. And as you affirm, believe that they are true.
Even if the belief doesn’t come straightaway, fill yourself up with positive affirmations day after day and soon you will truly start believing and it will start working its magic.
Affirm positive thoughts and speak positively about things you want in your life. Don’t contradict what you say to yourself and what you say to others.

5. Start journaling
Journaling is a great habit to help you start manifesting. You can even start a manifestation journal.

Jot down your thoughts, your goals, your dreams and your beliefs.
Release yourself of any overwhelming thoughts and gain clarity through journaling. Journaling can help you become your own best friend and can be your company through thick and thin.
When you start journaling and noting down your thoughts, you will be surprised by the wisdom you have hidden within you.
As you continue to journal, it will surely bring out the power in you to manifest your goals faster and better.
6. Spend quality time with yourself
Devote quality time with yourself. Learn to manage your time better and spend the time you get to have with yourself wisely.
Here are some ideas to spend quality time with yourself
- Paint
- Journal
- Sing
- Doodle
- Cook
- Go for a walk
- Exercise
- Run
- Be with nature
Do things that make you feel good and that uplift your energy. It’s all about letting the good energy flow through and really feeling uplifted and happy.
So whatever that makes you feel, do them when you are with yourself.
7. Work on your goals
You don’t manifest without working on your goals. But once you take care of these other habits, you will find that you don’t have to work so hard or beat yourself up to manifest.
You only need to be clear about what you want and make a plan for how you will achieve them. Then, once you start working on them, as you take care of your energy and life state, you will manifest your goals easily.
8. Visualise
We visualize all the time. But right now, for the majority of us, we are only accustomed to visualizing what we don’t want in our lives.
For all the things that we don’t want, we visualise and we believe it with such great intensity without any doubt that it results in results in worry, stress and anxiety.
But it can also be the other way around.
What if you start visualising what you want in your life and start to believe it? That is how you become powerful and start manifesting the Good things.
To visualize is a part of the miraculous process. We can see in our mind’s eye all of the things we would like to have and be in our lives.
It is like magic and taking the time out to visualize with a full belief as if they are true, as if they will come true is powerful.
You will attract everything into your life with it. When you visualise see a moving picture of you living your dream.

9. Consume intentionally
Consumption is not only for the body but also for the mind.
The things you consume have a direct effect on your body and well-being. If you’re only eating junk food and packaged items, then naturally your energy won’t be high.
Also, what are the things you are consuming for your mind? It all comes down to
- What kind of things you’re watching
- What kind of things you’re listening to &
- What kind of things you’re reading

Once you become intentional with what you consume and once you start consuming those things that align with your goals, then you will be able to manifest your goals.
Why? Because this shifts your thinking, and your perspectives and helps you attract your goals
10. Believe and let go
The last good habit I want to add here is the habit of believing and then letting go.
As you must already know, nothing happens without your belief and faith. But also another important habit to manifest is the ability to let go.
To let go means to not cling to your desires. To let go is an act of trust and belief in the powers of the Universe.
You must tell yourself to let go and trust in the process of the Universe that you will get what you want at the right time.
To let go means to be patient and to surrender to the workings of the Universe.
Do your work. Focus on yourself and raise your vibration. Your part is done. Now let go and let the Universe do its part.
So these were the good habits to start manifesting!
Work on cultivating these habits and you will see how your life will change and how you will attract anything in your life.
